  • Stylecraft Special Aran (Any Worsted Weight Yarn) Silver – 3 balls at 214 yards (total of 642 yards) Holding 3 strands of yarn together
  • Tape Measure
  • x2 1 inch Button
  • Tapestry Needle / Darning Needle To weave in ends
  • Substitute yarn Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick (Any Super Bulky Weight
    Yarn) (220 yards) Holding one strand of yarn

Finished Measurements Approx

  • Adult One Size
  • 10.5 x 34 inches

Gauge

  • First 4 rows = 4 inches (10cm)

Pattern

** Holding 3 strands of worsted weight yarn together **

R1. Ch24, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in next ch * Ch2, skip next 2 chains, 1dc in next 5 chains * Repeat across ending with 1dc in last 3 chains, turn

R2. Ch3 (counts as 1dc) 1dc in next 2dc * Ch2, Skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 5dc * Repeat across ending with 1dc in last 2dc, 1dc in top of tuning ch, turn

R3-R34. Repeat row 2 (or until cowl measures 34 inches)

Fasten off and weave in ends. Secure buttons to cowl to join (see above picture)

Weave in ends.
